A Message from Hotel Weyanoke

We are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) statements regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and following guidelines from the CDC and the local health departments. The well-being of our guests and employees is of the utmost importance.

We take standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are taking additional steps to ensure the safety of our guests and employees. For the most updated information, please refer to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or your local health authority.

Starting Friday, May 29, any person age 10 or older must wear a face covering at all times while entering, exiting, traveling through, and spending time in indoor public areas.

The following services will be unavailable until further notice to reduce guest interaction:

  • Valet parking
  • Bell service
  • Daily housekeeping service
  • Access to the rooftop


  • Lobby doors will be unlocked from 7am - 11pm. Guests are able to access the building from 11pm-7am with their guest room keys.
  • Key cards, pens, and the credit card terminal will be sanitized frequently to prevent contact from staff and previous guests. New items are used when available.
  • Counter tops will be wiped hourly and after each guest interaction.
  • Luggage carts are wiped after every guest use.

Registration Desk

  • Sanitation services at the registration desk and throughout the property have been added.
  • Guest rooms will be assigned on a rotational basis to increase distance between guests. This measure is based on availability and guest requests.

Lobby & Corridors

  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in public spaces with the continued use of hospitality grade cleaning solutions. We are focusing on the counter at the front desk, elevators and elevator buttons, door handles, public bathrooms and even room keys.
  • The lobby and the front desk are open and available 24 hours a day.

Guest Rooms

  • We use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms with hospitality grade cleaning solutions, and pay particular attention to high-touch items.
  • Guest rooms will be deep cleaned prior to check in.
  • After check out, guest rooms will remain unoccupied for at least 15 minutes to mitigate the spread of germs.
  • Daily room cleaning will be temporarily suspended, but guests will be provided any required items upon request.
  • Housekeeping staff will not enter your guest room during your stay to minimize contact.

Food & Beverage (Restaurants & Outlets)

  • All restaurants are open! Effingham’s hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 11am-9pm; Complimentary Continental Breakfast is available 7am-10:30am.
  • Catbird Rooftop Terrace is open Thursday-Saturday from 4pm-10pm.
  • Taproot Tavern is open Wednesday-Saturday from 4pm-9pm.


  • Guests may choose to checkout over the phone and have their receipt emailed upon departure.
